Model-agnostic by design. Ghost keeps the machine awake no matter which lab your agent runs on.

No magic. Just hardware.

Two things, end to end: the run that keeps going, and the object itself.

01Run flow

Close it and leave.

No app, no menu-bar ritual. Ghost makes the machine read as awake, so a run that already started keeps moving with the lid shut.

  1. 18:14Start an agent run or a long build.
  2. 18:15Close the lid and walk away.
  3. 02:37Ghost holds the machine awake as plain USB hardware.
  4. 09:02Come back to the same live session.

02Object

A small part with one clear job.

Five parts and a single status pulse. Built to disappear into the side of the machine.

1USB-C connector
Reversible, high-speed USB-C. Plugs in either way.
2Controller
Keeps the machine awake. Standard USB HID, nothing to install.
3Status LED
One slow blue pulse. Long-press to silence it.
4Aluminum shell
Anodized unibody. Low-power, no moving parts.
5End cap
Squared cap seals the body and protects the board.

Beats every workaround you've tried.

Caffeine apps, mouse jigglers, and login scripts each fail somewhere. Ghost is plain USB hardware, so it just doesn't.

Questions a skeptic would ask.

Ghost is hardware, so the honest answers are short. Still unsure?

Ask us directly
Is this just a mouse jiggler?

No. A jiggler twitches your pointer every few seconds and reports itself as a fake mouse. Ghost sends zero input events. The cursor never moves. It presents a standard HID plus a headless-display descriptor, so the OS reads the machine as awake and in use, on its own.

Will my IT team or MDM see it?

Yes, and that is the point. Ghost is a standard USB HID accessory. It changes no system settings and hides nothing from your OS or device management. If your organization has a policy about preventing sleep, follow it.

Does it really work with the lid closed?

Yes. Ghost holds the machine awake with the lid shut, on a desk or shelf, where caffeine apps clamshell-sleep on battery. Keep the laptop plugged in for long unattended runs.

Will my agent run or build actually keep going?

Ghost keeps the machine awake, so a run that already started keeps moving: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor agents, long builds, data syncs, fine-tune runs, CI runners, and Jupyter kernels included. It starts nothing on its own and never touches your session.

Any software, drivers, or login items?

None. Standard USB HID, nothing to install, no menu-bar app, no kernel extension. Works on macOS 12+, Windows 10/11, and Linux. It even works locked, logged out, and with the screen off.

What about battery and heat?

Ghost draws under 0.2 W and is bus-powered, with no moving parts. For long unattended runs, keep the laptop plugged in. Battery life, thermals, and unattended use are your responsibility.

Which one should I get: A, C, or Duo?

Ghost A (USB-A) fits most laptops, docks, and desktops. Ghost C (USB-C) fits MacBooks and modern USB-C-only machines. Ghost Duo carries both connectors for every port you will ever plug into.

Can I silence the LED, and can I update firmware?

The status LED is one slow blue pulse; long-press to silence it. Firmware is USB-DFU updatable with signed images, so the device stays current without any background updater.
